We have patients that come in that have teeth that are damaged, discolored, or broken. For us, the best way to treat that is with dental veneers. It’s porcelain faces that we put on the front teeth. It requires very minimal preparation, and we’re able to change the appearance of the front teeth with that.
We start by getting models of their teeth, and we have a lab do a mock-up or a wax-up of what the teeth could look like. And then we sit down and we look at it together and discuss, you know, are you happy with the shape of it and everything? And if everything looks good, then we go and we schedule the appointment to actually do the treatment. So we then do the treatment. We use that mock-up as our mold for their temporary veneers. It gives them a chance to see immediately what their teeth are gonna look like, what the shape of the teeth and the general color that their teeth will be when we get the final ones done. It gives them a chance to give us any feedback, if there’s any concerns they have with it, before the final ones are processed in the lab.
We find when we then bring them back and we put the permanent veneers on, they’re extremely happy. They already have a good idea of what they’re expecting. I’ve seen patients come to tears over the veneers. It truly can change their life. I’ve seen it. You can’t explain it unless you see it, but when you put beautiful teeth in a mouth that maybe has not had really the best-looking teeth ever, it just overwhelms the patient.
